Childhood Memories
When I was a child, there was a special spot where I used to hang out with my friends…
It's somewhere village kids can be found when evening comes- a small river located not far away from a paddy field. The surrounding there never failed to amaze me- greenish wide paddy fields that bless the eyes of those who gaze and a gentle breeze caressing the faces of those who stare at the beauty of the scenery.
As I walked closer, the sound of water gently trickling caught my attention. The fields were flooded with a few inches of water, meticulously managed by the farmers. As I took in the beauty of the paddy field and its surroundings, I couldn't help but feel a deep appreciation for the delicate balance of nature. The breeze carried the whispers of generations of farmers who poured their love and sweat into those lands. As I stood amidst the paddy field, a sense of peace and serenity washed over me.
It was a sanctuary of life, a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of both nature and humanity. But how, unfortunately, all those scenes portrayed can't be experienced anymore. Trucks and lorries were everywhere, troubling the tranquility of the paddy field and its ecosystem. Buildings and roads were ubiquitous. No more greenish view observable, as well as sounds of rivers flowing. The place where I used to hang out when I was a child, was nowhere anymore to be found. As no one could rewind the time, it all remains as a recollection, a sweet story to be told to my future kids.
